Screened with My Terrorist. Michal Aviad in person.Tel Aviv-based, San Francisco-trained filmmaker Michal Aviad takes us on a personal journey in a poetically constructed visual essay that is a stream of candid home videos, remarkable public archives and historical events that parallel her family’s immigrant past. She brings it up to date with observations of renewed violence with the Palestinians in October 2000 when dreams for peace blew up in their faces. New anxieties about the future are mixed with the desire for hopeful signs as Aviad sets out to untangle her moral dilemmas and unravel questions of survival for her children.
