A splendid adaption in color of R.K. Narayan's satiric novel. The screenplay is by Pearl Buck and describes a roguish tourist-guide in India who gradually becomes a figure of tragicomedy. Two of India's major artists, Dev Anand and Waheed Rehman play the leads. Second film.
