COMMENTS

Jaime Camino in person.

Spain is the paradise of the tourist. In summer, its beaches and mountain resorts are jammed to the rafters. Cadaques is such a resort and to it comes a bored Spanish housewife named Monica, with her children. Her husband Pablo remains behind in Barcelona for the summer. In Cadaques Monica runs into an old flame who has become a heart surgeon and has practiced in the USA for many years. The old flame is revived, burns high and so Monica and Victor are "happy" until husband Pablo arrives from Barcelona for a visit. A decision has to be made; Victor departs hastily for a medical conference and Monica takes off after him—for the moment. What happens then is a commentary on Spanish—and international—morality and manners.
