This film imaginatively interweaves the rise of Corazon Aquino with the history of Filipino women. Striking cinematography and a treasure trove of archival footage and infuse women’s myths and literature with flesh and blood. Testimonies of women active in the People’s Power movement relive the downfall of the Marcos regime. Ultimately, filmmaker Ramona Diaz has framed a new context for us to explore Filipino history, contemporary society and the indefatigable spirit of Filipino women.
