Echo in the Village is a modern day fable imagining how a young person in a remote community migrating to a first-world environment might learn a foreign language. Peter, a 13-year-old shepherd boy in a small mountain village is offered a way out by his uncle who has become a successful rancher in Latin America. But, with his grandfather's help, he must learn a new language in order to be able to succeed outside rural Italy.
