Shown in Stolen Ground, a special program of Golden Gate Award–winning works by Bay Area Asian-American filmmakers. This group of works by Bay Area directors raises issues surrounding Asian-American identity, politics and culture in new and perceptive ways. Stolen Ground is a strikingly visceral documentary that follows the dinner conversation of six men—Chinese, Filipino and Japanese Americans—who share their personal experiences and thoughts on how racism, cultural ignorance and homophobia have affected and shaped their lives.
